Prayer, Will of God and My House/Home Mr. C. Pat Lanyon

Knowing The Will of God In Where You Live

Review:

Last time we looked at the spiritual gifts. I hope you took the test to find out where your spiritual gift has it’s concentrations. It will help you know where to focus your energy and efforts as you serve Him until He returns for all His own.

Today we look at the truth about knowing the will of God in where you live: your home and your house.

From the prayer notebook:

PS 127.1; MT 8.20

3a2b2c4d. HOUSE (dwelling place)

Your Current Address: ____________________________

Put your history of residences here as you move in God’s will.

Significant Scripture passages:

Psalm 127:1

A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.

Matthew 8:20

And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." [see Luke 9.58 also.]

God must help us to build the home and house we live in. When a new Christian begins to study the will of God he/she finds that God is sovereign about such details of life as this detail. Many time they are living is a place they wish not to be. Perhaps they are there through no fault of their own, or sometimes they are there through every fault they own.

A house to live is a blessing from God He expects to oversee for His work, and not to be taken for granted.
